Prof. Rumen Mironov

Technical University of Sofia, Bulgaria

Prof. Dr, Rumen Mironov received his MSc and PhD in Telecommunications from Technical University of Sofia and MSc in Applied Mathematics and Informatics from Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Informatics. He is the  Head of Department of Radio Communications and Video Technologies, Technical University of Sofia, Bulgaria. His current research focuses on digital signal and image processing, pattern recognition, audio and video communications, information systems, computer graphics, and programming languages. He is a member of Bulgarian Association of Pattern Recognition (IAPR) and Bulgarian Union of Automation and Automation Systems. Rumen Mironov is the author of more than 60 scientific publications. He participated in more than 15 research projects, in two of which he was the PI. He had published more than 90 publications and was a co-editor of 3 books of Springer Book Series: „Smart Innovation, Systems and Technologies“.

Dr. Roumiana Kountcheva, S.R.

TK Engineering, Bulgaria

Roumiana Kountcheva is Vice President of TK Engineering. She got her MSc and PhD at the Technical University of Sofia, Bulgaria, and became Senior Researcher (SR) at TIE, in 1993. 

R. Kountcheva had two post-doc trainings in Japan (Fujitsu, 1977 and Fanuc, 1980). She has more than 200 publications (including 32 book chapters and 5 patents), and presented 23 plenary speeches at international conferences and workshops. She is a member of IRIEM, IDSAI, IJBST Journal Group, and Bulgarian Association for Pattern Recognition. 

R. Kountcheva participated as PI, Co-PI and team member of 47 scientific research projects. She is a reviewer of WSEAS conferences and journals, and edited several books for Springer SIST series. Her scientific areas of interest are in image processing and analysis, image watermarking and data hiding, multidimensional image representation, tensor representation, pyramidal image decompositions, image and video compression, CNC, programmable controllers, etc.

Prof. Dr. Kuo-Kun Tseng

Hurbin institute of technology, China

Dr. Kuo-Kun Tseng is currently a professor of Harbin Institute of Technology, an accomplished researcher and educator whose work has left an indelible mark on the fields of computer science, artificial intelligence, and space technology. Dr. Tseng's expertise is underpinned by an extensive body of work that spans several years. As we delve into his comprehensive research, it becomes apparent that his intellectual pursuits have made a profound impact across diverse AI domains. 

Dr. Tseng has published widely in high impact journals such as  IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, IEEE transactions in areospace Engineering and Electronic Systems, Enterprise Information Systems etc.. Dr. Tseng's pioneering work expanded to the fields of biometric recognition, biosignal processing, and space technology. In his work on robust multistage ECG identification for astronaut spacesuits with IoT applications, he demonstrated his innovative capabilities in addressing the unique challenges of space applications. Furthermore, his expertise in deep learning and artificial intelligence is reflected in his work in image semantic segmentation and semi-supervised image depth prediction with deep learning and binocular algorithms. Dr. Tseng's commitment to advancing diagnostic tools and image analysis has the potential to revolutionize the field of healthcare, and  into the field of autonomous driving for natural paths, utilizing an improved deep reinforcement learning algorithm, has the potential to revolutionize the way autonomous vehicles navigate complex terrains. With this extensive body of research and innovation, Dr. Kuo-Kun Tseng is not only an academic powerhouse but also a visionary thinker who consistently pushes the boundaries of what is possible. His unwavering commitment to research and its real-world applications has the potential to shape the future of AI, space technology, and beyond.

Dr. WU Chun Ho, Jack

Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, China

Dr Wu excels in his role with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) as a researcher with more than a decade of professional experience. Having held numerous roles with the university previously, his expertise precedes him. Previously, he was a project fellow for the RFID Solutions Laboratory, and a visiting lecturer for the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, PolyU, and the Department of Supply Chain and Information Management, Hang Seng Management College. 

Over the years, Dr Wu worked closely with many industrial partners such as Towngas Telecommunications Co Ltd, Leo Paper Bags Manufacturing (1982) Ltd, Dr Kids Education Group Ltd, and Photon Int. Ltd, to support and contribute to the formulation of their business strategies, operations improvement and new product development. Dr Wu was the recipient of the Big Data Analysis Award from the China & Hong Kong Enterprise Market Development Association in 2014, and the Best Reviewer Award for a journal entitled Internet Research in 2016. In 2015, his biographical profile has been selected for inclusion in the Marquis Who's Who in the World(R) 2016. 

Dr Wu holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial and Systems Engineering, and a PhD in Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering. He also holds a six sigma black belt certification from the Hong Kong Society of Quality and he contributes regularly to research papers in the areas of Internet of Things, Engineering Optimisation and Business Intelligence. In collaboration with several scholars at PolyU, Tianjin University, Sun Yat-sen University, The University of York, etc, his project works and research outcomes have been presented in 10+ international conferences and published in 30+ international refereed journals, such as Information Science, Internet Research, Expert Systems with Applications, Enterprise Information Systems, Industrial Management and Data Systems. He is also one of the authors of IoT: The Basic, Applications and Case Studies (in Chinese; ISBN: 978-986-925-960-6), and System Design and Technology of Biomedical Internet of Things (in Chinese; ISBN: 978-986-84784-7-3). 

To stay at the top of his field, Dr Wu is a member of IEEE and the British Machine Vision Association & Society for Pattern Recognition, and a senior member of the Hong Kong Society of Quality. Additionally, Dr Wu serves on the editorial boards of the International Journal of Engineering Business Management, and Enterprise Information Systems. As he looks to the future, Dr Wu intends to continue researching in the field of smart logistics and manufacturing.
